Ultimately, he managed to narrow it down to just a dozen tracks for "This Loud Morning," out today (June 28). Cook tells Billboard.com that he's been working on this album since wrapping up the Declaration Tour in December 2009. And naturally, taking his time has allowed Cook to create what he calls a "more complete musical endeavor" than his 2008 platinum self-titled album."You can listen to the single if you want to go listen to the single, but if you listen to the record as a whole, it takes on this entire experience," Cook tells Billboard.com. Occasionally I read this popular blogger on Yahoo news. She is a music blogger and recapped last night. I guess I have a little less interest and a lot more life b/c I am just not going to do what she does.

Anyway, her predictions for bottom three tonight are: Jacob, Stephano and Lauren.

I beg to differ. I think the bottom three are going to be: Haley, Stephano and Casey, again with Stephano saying goodbye.

so with the exception of the Paul / Pia hiccup...never mind, we are still waiting on Haley, but other than that, it's going down in a non shocking manner for me.

Really Wish Lauren would feel it, get it, really knock our socks off like I know she can. I love this kid! I also disagree with Steven as far as artist selection for next week... while I can see his point of doing Allyson Krausse (sp?) or Faith or Shania, I think that would be too karaoke, but one of my favorite country songs, probably because it came out the week my grandmother passed away, is one I think she should sing, relate the words to herself and just tweak it enough to jack it up a notch or two.

Okay, I'll out myself. Season 4- Carrie Underwood won, Bo Bice was 2nd. I LOVED Bo but everytime Carrie sang, everytime I have seen her since, I have gotten this stupid little lump in my throat. It's not like a crush or something, but I think it is just because she is soooooo beautiful and talented and even as a shy little "I haven't ever even been on a plane" Oklahoma gal, you just saw it. I did and Simon did anyway.

Well, watching Idol from last night.... I got that silly lump again for Lauren. I don't know what I love more, that she chose that song and KILLED it or Will.I.Am.'s commentary or Jimmy telling the truth that Lauren sings wayyyy better than Miley. Truf is Truf!!!!

Love Casey but he's done :( Sorry Casey... I would love to see him in a small venue with that bass, but as far as Idol is concerned, I think he's gone tonight.

I have a deep dark secret. One that I never dreamed I would have in season 7... yet, here I sit, with this deep dark secret about American Idol I am bored I am done with the show I didn't even watch last night I am not voting It has gotten stale I have gotten rusty If anything amazing happens, then maybe I'll blog but really.... "we" have now found Paul McDonald and yet the country doesn't really get him like I do, I will buy his music and enjoy his CD tremendously. Here is my last and final prediction of how this show will go down and I'll keep the heading I posted in March at the top:

I just don't care and when you don't care, you don't do your best. I'll probably keep up the header as the show continues it's countdown to the final two. Every week I think something different (this is coming from someone who hasn't even watched last night's show) oh well. Randy, Jennifer and Steven are NOT the only decision makers in the top 24 and I have had my suspicions but this year confirms that all the Simons and Niles are also in the selection process and this year, more than any before, they have totally STACKED the cards so that they ensure their top 12.

If I had to choose right now my top favorite two it would be a boy tie between Casey and Paul (both onthe left) and my favorite girl is Lauren, hands down. I have no idea why, I just LOVE everything bout her and I am not usually teen crazy. But she is cool!

Well, I have to say that amid all of the drama and exageration ( the most dramatic seasons ever!!!) this was the BEST hollywood week in 10 years!!!!

I have a favorite. I love her a LOT and for the 2nd time ever, I am wanting someone to win this thing yesterday.

I haven't been watching the show in real time... my kids had it on last night, I was in another room doing homework ( I am back in college :) and my husband was totally laughing b/c even though I wasn't in the room watching it, I was still calling things out like:

Okay, he's good

No honey, don't try so hard

Okay, stop the riffs and just give me melody

Nah... she won't go far

Too many artist have that exact same sound right now.. it will be interesting to see what happens.

So then I head up to bed..... didn't finish it, part of me really has NO interest in it aside from the kids singing.

BUT this morning, I turned it on while I am putzin around, cleaning up breakfast, etc and i get to the last audition broadcasted last night

and I confess..... I cried.... I cried and was so touched. More touched than anyone's story I have heard on Idol in 10 years. This is true love and it really really touched me and what made me even happier is that this kid can really sing. I love his voice!

So far, after two weeks there are only three that stand out to me. The first kid from the first week who was homeless, he has a twin?

and then I am a sucker for the rocker chicks, so I did like the one from last night, the Tyler fan who is pitchy..... and now Chris Medina....

Well, I don't know what is going on but last week I had almost 500 people or hits on this site. Tomrrow is the first episode of season 10 and I just have to say I am still chewing on whether or not to watch and blog.....

So, I am going to continue to chew on this and I will probably watch the first show tomorrow night. If I get excited ( b/c this IS about the kids) then I might. However, I am in college full time right now and a mom and working part time, so I guess we shall see. I think what I will do is put up a survey to see just how really is interested in what I have to say....

For health reasons (namely I have the flu, don't wanna spread it to you, so I'll make this quick......Here is the ONLY thing I can instantly recall from season 6

Oh I know that Jordin won... I was glad, teens needed an "idol" and she is such a QT. Glad to see her on the Disney and nick shows my kids watch. Go Jordan.

I mean, look how stinkin' pretty she is!!!!

Oh and my favorite line of the night? When she meets Jon and David..... and says how much her MOM loves them LMBO. and this wasn't her best night I have to say, but I was already on the defense a little bit.

Oh! Blake, yeah, this is one talented kid... my favorite performance of the night was his version of Bad Name... was HOT!.... still wonder what Jon thought about it....

Then there was Brandon Rogers... I had a small crush, but he was the first to go...
cant say much about this guy really.... I think his name was Chris Richardson... he did decent this night. First time I really remember him singing....

and that my friends is season 6... the only redeeming value were those two amazing talented and sexy men in the middle. Jon Bon Jovi and David Bryan. (both are not using their full given names but it's okay)

May I take a moment to plug for David. This man is sick and wicked on the piano. I have a CD of his and its one of my favorite. I would LOVE for him to come by and play my baby grand. Stop reading innuendos into that... I am serious. If you are into piano music, current, jazzy and nice, check out this CD

so yes, I am a huge Bon Jovi fan.... but I have been since 1984, English class, they just released Runaway and I saw Jon in a Teenbeat magazine. It was instant love. Time and experience would mature me to full appreciate the band as a whole and I love them all. Except Alec, not too sure about him, but he isn't a part anymore so it doesn't matter.

I don't have any "idols" in my life. There is no one or thing I do worship, but if I were asked who my American Idol was I'd have to say this woman

Dorthea Bon Jovi. For a few reasons... She is married to him and that makes her one of the most secure women walking this planet. I have seen enough interviews to know that Jon and I would kill each other (our personalities are tooooo much alike) and when asked how he has made this 20+ year marriage to work, his response was "I did it right the first time". I am glad he has his soul mate that keeps him in line b/c I know I have mine.

HOWEVER..... there was this guy.... what was his name????.... it's right on the tip of my tongue.... um....

Daughtry! He made the season bearable to me. UNtil he left. People are always up in arms about him not winning. Do you think his first album would have been the same if he had? Maybe.. but his 2nd album is just as great and this guy ROCKS, no pun intended. he is just awesome! Winner or not, the show did what it is suppose to do. It brought out artists we wouldn't have known about. That is all Daughtry needed, exposure and then he was like lighting a roman candle... light it, step back and watch it rise and explode!

Hey Tort! good to see you and yeah, I want to post a few things and then this blog can just sit here for a long time, gathering dust until I delete it or something..... 9 years of this and I am loosing my edge. The show has gotten too big for me. I am walking away now before I continue to be annoyed with the $$ monsters, the immodest "artists", the victoria secret commercials during what is suppose to be a family show and there are just beginning to be too many innuendos that I shouldn't have to be explaining to my children.

and simon is sailing back home, so I am gonna sneak out behind him.......

Having said that, enjoy each season finale winner announcement, rewinding back to Kelly Clarkson~ warning the Idol theme song gets ANNOYING!!!!

oh and I still get a tear when I see Carrie winning LOL

went to bed sick last night. Could have stayed up and plowed through it but didn't want my grouchiness to swade me, so I waited until this morning.

Look, Crystal out performed Lee by a landslide! There was no competition for me last night, the only competition was between each of her songs.

So, I am sitting there, listening, not blown away but impressed and then Ryan announces the songs that will be on their album. He announces Lee's song and for some reason I thought this was a "new song" and then about 4 notes into it I'm like " wait!!!!! this is a U2 song" I was totally confused so I called my hubby and he was like " no it's not, I am like yes it is" etc etc... so he looked it up online and wow, both songs are covers.

Wonder how much they had to pay Bono for that song.

I thought the band totally "swallowed" Lee up, thanks to Kara. that was a great word.... the band totally overshadowed that last performance.

now, last year everyone was convinced that Adam had this in the bag, and then WHOA Kris comes out as the winner.... totally shocking everyone, right? not me... I just "knew" that afternoon that he was going to win, can't explain it,Well this year, Crystal should win this thing. She is who I pegged last week or the week before. Having said that... there are a lot of eery things that are telling me that Lee will win this.

1- Chicago is loyal to homeboys, even non AI fans probably voted and it's a bigger place than Toledo.

2- Lee is the one that totally 'grew' on the show, yk?

3- AI fans have now been conditioned that the final two still have a career, the winner ( aka Kris over Adam / Reuben over Clay ) needs help. I think that most people know Crystal will have a nice record deal.

I honestly think that Lee will win......

That said......I am very very glad this season is over. I am sad to see Simon go.... I will spend June posting my favorite moments of all 9 seasons and then this blog is going to officially retire.....

My hubby asked who could replace Simon that would make me want to watch next season and I said the ONLY three people that would make me tune in ( no pun intended) would be:

1- David Foster

2- Jon Bon Jovi

3- David Cook

if it's not those three, then I'm seriously done with the show. But it's been a good one!

I'll close up shop over the next few weeks.

bummer!!!! I had an entire write up and this site crashed!!!!!

okay..... um....

1- Wonder woman, thanks so much for leaving comments

2- and I re watched the results from last week ( daughtry and Bon jovi of course) and they never said Crystal was in the bottom, they just said Lee was safe... they trick us like that

3- I think I called this season too early, Lee has grown on me and after tonight I hope he wins this thing. I don't know if it is just b/c he has really popped out these last two weeks and is bringing on his game or if I just really like him and am seeing things slanted. But if I could back track, I can see Lee taking this thing!

4- crystal didn't do so well. this "beatles/paul" house is a bit too loyal to like a lot of other renditions.... sorry

5- Casey is ready to go home, he worked it, got his name and face out there, he will get signed but he wants to go home tomorrow.

Nothing will shock me at this point b/c this is the first season that I have LOVED all 3 final contestants.

The station I did season 7 Idol stuff for had Lee's aunt call in this morning and chatted with her for a bit. Nothing to really report about that...... but Bout 8:30ish this morning, hubby and I were on our way to a meeting thing when I started to notice that the closer we got to Arlington Race Park, things were looking weird. Signs saying things like:

" Only cars with tickets allowed"

" Performance Sold Out"

just a few blocks later, at a stop light, I saw city workers pulling out those saw horses for road blocks. I rolled down the window and asked one of the guys if this was for Idol. I wish I could tell you that I stopped then and there and became part of the Lee DeWyze home coming but in truth? I quickly planned an alternate return trip. At season 7 meet and greet and Concert I was overwhelmed at just how large this show really is... Plus I am old and am starting to dislike loud teen crowds..... oops!

The weather is perfect today though, so if it were rainy and icky like the last few days, I wonder what venue they would have used b/c I think Arlington is outdoors...

But it was fun to see the city getting ready for his performance. I will embed a few vids from Fox Chicago.

I think this season finale will be a very very close call. I will be happy for Lee or Crystal. After watching these interviews, I really like him even more... So Good luck Lee

I just find it ironic that he has been around this area for 20 years and no one really cared, but now that he has Idol'd it... he's famous and all these fans are just all over the place... I find that surreal and almost silly.... however.... I do admit that I am grateful for it in part because we have Kelly, Carrie, Daughtry and Cookie from it... ( my personal favs, don't mean to offend)

I have chewed on this for a few days and I believe it will be very close...... I'll listen to one performance and be convinced that the winner is that person and then hear the other one and be convinced they will win.

Without knowing the fan base size for each, it's kinda tough.....

Lee: LOVED that Jaime was this week b/c he worked with them EXACTLY what Lee and Casey needed. Love Jaime! Thought his song was a great choice, but I did agree, Bon Jovi would have been better.

Casey: interesting song, but my hubby liked it.....

Mike: just am bored with him.

Crystal: both songs were amazing.

I wanted to see Casey in the top 3 but I will not be shocked if he went home tomorrow night......

My first comment might make you question my sexual orientation, although I can promise you that I am VERY VERY heterosexual. I LOVE guys/men... but I just don't like Harry Connick.... I can't explain it, but I just don't... so I am NOT excited about tonight. With that said.... let us proceed.... HOWEVER, having him play while they sing is pretty cool. I can appreciate his piano skills!

Aaron: that hair style makes him look 9 instead of 12 this week...... he isn't bad, I am just ready to sleep the next two weeks until it comes down to Casey, Crystal and Lee, but Aaron did okay...

Casey: not my favorite performance, his goatness came out a bit, but I liked how it showcased his vocals a bit more. Still needs a little more personality.....

Crystal: she looks so nice and pretty and soft. MUCH softer than Hollywood week. she is doing a fab job though. I really think this will come down to her and Lee.

Mike: this should be his strongest week.... here we go!....... great night for big Mike.. who is featured on vote for the worst this week......

Lee: love this performance... he has more confidence, is having fun! tons of owning the stage. Fav of the night!!!!!!! LOVIN' LEE! Excellent!

season 9: final 6- twain country week

Just finished watching it....... didn't take notes so this is short and sweet.

Favorites:

Lee: just loving his voice and how he is getting better and better each week, nice to see his confidence peeking out more each week. Perfect song choice!

Crystal: i agreed with the judges that it wasn't my most favorite performance but she is just good. I love the feel of the band being on stage, felt like a real concert.

Casey: still loving' Casey and am glad he's had a wake up call. I really want this to come down to these three.

Least Favorite:

Siobhan: I did NOT agree with the judges, I don't know what is bugging me, other than her nasal.. she has such a great voice, other than that. So what is bugging me? I don't know, but I did NOT like that performance.

Mike: hated it! yeah yeah, he was feelin' it, yeah yeah he sounds good.... but I don't know....

Aaron: poor kid, so out of his league at this point. he was all over the place with the notes.

I think this week could be a shocker in a way. I really think that Aaron is going to be safe, as much as I want him gone. I think Mike may be in trouble. But there is always one week that everyone thinks that someone is safe and then they get voted off and it "freaks" everyone out.

I hope that Aaron or Mike or Siobhan go home and not my top three favs

But if I had to pick someone to go home........ I say Mike!

it's late, been on the couch all day with food poison? so tvo didn't start on time..... started right at Casey, so did I miss someone?

Casey: what i heard I did agree with the judges. he needs to get over what ever hump / wall that is holding him back. cool on him playing Lindsey's guitar. maybe he just wants some exposure so someone in Nashville will grab him. I still am very interested in an album from him. Looking forward to some original material from him.

remember being blown away when I first saw alicia..... then she kinda went too R&B stage glitter on me. but she has sick talent

Lee: great choice, we love S&G. Hubby and I saw their comeback concert back in 2004? They opened the tour in Wilkes-barre, PA, why? i have no idea b/c there is NOTHING in WB, Pa, but it was awesome!....... love his tweaking it. he is sounding better and better everyweek. I would have called crystal winning this 2-3 weeks ago, but the final, should be really interesting. thought he did AWESOME!

Tim: he's doing much better. kinda growing on me, but he is still pitchy and all over with the melody, towards the chorus, he started doing better..... curious what the judges will say...... that was interesting. I didn't hate it as much, it's sad when he comes right after Lee, though.... it links onto that performance, does that make sense?

Aaron: he's doing better with the beginning of the songs, and his lower register. he seems comfortable tonight. he did a nice job. thought it was good

Siobhan: I do not like her lower register, its too nasally..... he eyes look so pretty tonight, still can't figure her out.. she's all slow the last few weeks.... who is she?...... ITA w/ Randy and totally agree with Kara!..... okay, be quiet now Siobhan, please stop talking!!!!! we just FF through it

Crystal: love that she started out a Capella, she looks cute, she is feeling this song! makes such a difference. I do credit Fantasia for the one to capture our attention with emotion. Though that was a bit um.... but overall, that was really super good!

Season 9: still 9 perform

last night I had to weigh...... Idol or sleep.... Idol or sleep.....

guess which one WON?

So I did watch it this morning, but before I turned it on, I asked my daughter ( who stayed up to watch it) her opinion and specifically I asked about Crystal, Lee and Casey. She mentioned Siobhan and I said " wow, I seriously forgot about her" CLC are the only three that I even care about at this point in the show.

But from what I can remember b/c I didn't take notes this morning and in no particular order:

Lee: needs some more life on stage. I think he might start losing fans if he doesn't get something energetic. Yes his vocals were awesome but his stage presence is seriously lacking

Crystal: one of my favorite performances b/c she was sooo comfy and looked like she had a lot of fun. I really hope she wins this thing

Casey: love his performances every week, the guy has talent. There are a few things that bug me and make me wonder if it's just him or what. I still feel he is either painfully shy or nervous or there is something missing with him too. I sense he is a really nice kid, he's sooo talented on the guitar, vocally am loving his pipes, but performance wise, he is still not relaxed or comfy or something, I can't quite put my finger on it. Last week's performance was as randy says :"hawt!"
but this week, just same ol good stuff, at this point there is nothing standing out for me that I wouldn't see at a club or something ( I don't do bars and most clubs, but meaning, low key local entertainment)

Siobhan: wow, what a bomb that was. While I respect that she is honest enough with herself and others about who/what she really is, for this AI platform? You have to know what kinda of record she will record or it means nothing. With Carrie, you knew you'd get country, Daughtry and Cook , I waited, knowing what kinda album I'd hear, and even Kelly and Jordan. And even if Reuben and Fantasia aren't my favorite genres I knew what kind of artist they would be.

so between her and big Mike, I have no idea what kinda album they would make. Yes they are great on stage and vocally are very skillful, but there isn't anything tangible for a regular viewer or music fan to really hold on to. Mike did a great job. I am glad he said Siobhan directed to that song b/c it kinda took away the stigma of a black man singing that particular song.

Tim, was really annoyed he did such a fantastic job. Loved that performance.

and who is left... oh Andrew. I am in between Ellen and the judges, I did like what he did with it, but I didn't like it. If that makes sense.

My personal opinion is that a few people felt like me and didn't like his version of Cookie's song. While that didn't shock me necessarily, I was 1% surprised.

I do kinda like when I am wrong though, makes for good TV and blogging.

long and winding road? eh? following in Archie's steps there are we?.... some notes and phrases are really good, but then he gets really off and it hurts to hear. wasn't a fan of this....C

Katie:
she really did do a great job.... still don't like her....might I point out that she dressed the way she did (pony tail and pink) to keep it young, so they wouldn't accuse her of the OLD/ boring.... A+

Andrew... WTG Andrew! MUCH Better job.... you can tweak that song a lot. A

Mike: like his Sgt. Pepper jacket was the only good thing about this performance. but I am jaded.... no body can do it like Cookie... so there. did NOT agree with Randy. yes, different sides, but still not sure what kinda album would he cut? really? help me out. Vocally, the guy has pipes, but eh..... and thank you Simon for bringing some honesty and realism back to the judges table..... B+

Crystal: love this girl! perfect song choice.. nice and gritty for the grit girl. she is looking softer and prettier every week......awesome! A++++++

Tim: great beginning... darn it! he sounds really good.. one of his performances... darn it! another week with Tim. oh well...... like his hair better like this. A

Casey: what is in that box? we wanna know... okay.... how about my favorite Casey performance EVER!!!!! A++++++++++++++ I loved it and my Beatles mania hubby LOVED it!

Siobhan did NOT like that.. too slow.... my hubby was in pain.... we had to FF it. sorry... she has something and there are times I like it and others I don't.... still not sure here..... B

Okay, how cool is Usher. I had no idea he was that cool. Even my hubby thought so, and it's hard to impress him.

Siobhan: maybe I can spell her name correctly this post. she is still too nasally in her lower register. Wow, I can't believe how pitchy she was. I did not like anything about her performance. and Randy, what IS she wearing anyway?. and WTG Simon! I thought he was sooooo on last night in his feedback. C

and that backstage stuff, a bit too reality TVish for me.... augh....

Casey: I saw a picture of him recently with a full beard, not a fan of that I have to say. Makes him look 20 years older. BUT i think that is why has that lip thing, b/c he is use to that awful beard being there. I'll post a picture at the end.... I think he is going to end up like Michael Johns... I wouldn't be surprised if he got voted off in slot 6 or 4. For some reason I don't get sick of his guitar, though I would with a few others. He has a phrasing that totally resembles Huey Lewis. That isn't just because he covered that song either, but last night there were two times where he totally sounded like Huey. I think he has a great stage name. I did NOT agree with Ellen at all. This is totally his avenue.... see? Simon knew again. A++++

Mike: please don't bore me, was my first thought. I am glad he picked up the guitar. I thought it was a very soulful performance and I was LMBO at Usher's eye contact bit. I was bored,BUT it was my favorite performance from him. Hows that for concrete. He is very natural with his music and is very cool! A+

Didi: oh didi didi didi..... she's starting to grate on me.. not because she is emotional. it's vocally. and song choice! still not sure who she is. I want that Earthy Didi back. Randy was right and Kara said exactly what my hubby and I were saying. she could be in big trouble this week. C

Dear Audience: I notice that you boo Simon on 99% of things, until he critiqued Didi last night... so you KNOW he is right, when it is bad, it's bad! But stop booing the guy, augh!

Tim: Usher is just too kewl! but PLEASE STOP WITH THE STAIRS!!!... that is so lame and his camera stare freaked my kids out. We all had to sleep with night lights on last night. I just FF through that and Simon had the BEST feedback ever... D

Andrew: my daughter had a dream that he died.... he totally saved himself last night. He did a great job!! A

Katie: it drives me nuts trying to talk to someone with glasses on... that would have bugged the heck out of me. Why do they do that anyway? My first thought was 'augh' gotta sit through Katie. Siobhan should have sung this one. Hate those shorts, but vocally she was great but we ( my house) is all confused as to why we just don't like her???? B+

at this point, I knew there were 3 left and I could think / remember Crystal and Lee, but for the life of me, couldn't remember Aaron.... what does that say?

Lee: his voice is so close to some of these other singers like Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, ( sorta) or Tyler Connolly of Theory of a deadman.... so if it weren't IN right now, I would be BLOWN away with his voice. Having said that,. I LOVE his voice, and what??? did you see that???? personality and confidence!!!!! yeah!!!!!!! WTG LEE.. my favorite performance of the night! A+++++++++++

Crystal: LOl at her 'smart man' comment. I like this song a lot but those background singers made it CHEESE-EEEEEE Hubby said " hey the PIPS" and I said " more like the PITS" I did NOT like that falsetto note yet I am glad she mixed it up a bit but she looked stiff and uncomfy. She should have stayed at the piano. I totally 200% agreed with Simon and Crystal... Crystal... don't talk back,,, ... A

and if you were curious, yes, Simon is a smoker..... augh

Aaron: hubby said " oh it's the little kid" so we died laughing when Ellen said he was 3. I love Kris's version of this much better. I love this song too but his first two measures were totally off and then he picked it up. I didn't like it but it was better than Tim and Didi's performances. B+

Blogging this morning b/c I had some unexpected errands last night. Which really shows you where i am with this show :(..... season 7, I scheduled everything around AI, even when we were on vacation for spring break LOL

I saw Lacey Brown on Letterman last week and she referenced something about not getting enough "points". I am too busy to let this show completely take over my life, but am curious if anyone knows what is up with this Point system?

I am not a Miley fan, though she has beautiful eyes. That outfit was hideous and my hubby said " well, nice to see she got dressed up for the show" LOL But this isn't about Miley, it's about Idol, so here we go!

Lee- I love his voice, and his lack of confidence and stage presence. I want to see him grow in these areas but it's endearing in a way. I saw him get a little more comfy last night on stage and though I was not blown away by the song, I am crushin' a bit on his sideways grin. A

Paige- bye Paige,... it hurt to listen to it. I had to FF to the judges. Ellen was skillful in turning it over to the techies.... CHICKEN! D

Tim- started off boring, then almost started to get exciting and then he did that cheesy slide. I soo agreed with Ellen about the HSMusical and kudos to Kara for ripping into him. C

Aaron- My hubby says last night " oh, I can't believe I didn't see it before! Aaron looks like a male version of Cindy* (names have been changed to protect the innocent) his old girl friend. Can you see it?" I look at the TV and turn back to him and say " no, but then again, I only saw her a couple of times and she wasn't smiling at me" LOL! Anyway.... I AM SOOO TIRED OF THIS SONG ON IDOL... PLEASE STOP DOING THIS SONG... PLEASE? It should be banned. I heard Aerosmith's version last week and took a deep breath b/c it sounded so great to hear the original again. I think the timing of his performance ( coming after tim and paige) helped him a bit. He was about 1/2 a step flat the entire song. Glad Randy pointed that out to him too. He had a great stage presence though B+

Crystal- I cringed when she had Miley sign her guitar. Just the fact she considered Miley a powerful and beautiful woman ( which I guess has some credit) but next to Melissa E and Shania? anyway.... other than that, I was waiting for Joplin. Did she mess up on her first line though? it sounded muffled. I love her, she is consistent and vocally is great. I like the energy she put into it, but it wasn't my favorite performance from her yet.

Totally LOL at Randy saying " I'm so happy now" LOL I do agree with Ellen on wanting a bit more connecting but I don't want her to put that guitar down. That is like asking Neal Pert ( of Rush) to put his drum sticks down..... I don't think so!

Mike- liked his look last night. kinda looked sexy. He's doing a great job but its too Rueben.. he is sooo good that he is forgettable to the other contestants. I am still not sure what kind of record he would record either. Randy said something about R&B but Jason Maraz isn't R&B is he? Kara pegged it for me, the lounge comment. A

Andrew- better change the song up!... his mike was muffled and I did not like it. though it was a fun to see Ricky minor jammin' like that. I was bored and he didn't do anything with it. Again, I agree with Kara, he is chasing that moment and I agree with Simon, that "moment" might have been too hyped up. I still think he has talent for arranging, not performing. Randy needs to take him under his wing. C

Katie- "oh great " my kids said as she came on last night. So that clues me in that even 11 and 13 year olds ( well, at least mine) aren't as Katie happy as she is being played up to be. that was a horrible choice of song but she had a lot of confidence. I can't get past her vocals sounding milk coated. As much as we ( my family) wants her to go home, she has a few more weeks because of her HS voting/texting buddies.

oh and btw, is pitch really an issue in today's industry? I mean, come on, let's be honest. As mean of song writer as Taylor Swift is, the girl can't sing very well at all! But they make her sound good in the studio. So they can make anyone sound decent. Heck, I might go cut a record then Lol!

Katie- B

Casey- I loved that song choice. very unique and i see him kinda loosening up but there is some kind of barrier still there for me. My hubby likes him a lot which is rare that he cares. But Casey is total easy sell commercial package. I love his voice and his soul filled songs. I am picky about the Idol CD's I purchase but I can see me buying his stuff. A++

Again, Ricky Minor has one of the coolest "jobs" on the planet!

Didi- I thought she had done this song but that was Katelyn Epperly and it wasn't Linda, it was Carly... STAY OFF THE STAIRS! they kinda belong to Clay and Adam now.... I miss the earthy Didi, I didn't like this though she sounded really good. She did get into it, saw a different side of her. At the end, she could have had a moment if she had stopped all accompaniment and a cupella'd that last few measures. Too bad the judges ended up blasting her b/c you can tell she was into it. Another thing Didi/..;..... DON'T TALK BACK OT THE JUDGES, DON'T EXPLAIN YOURSELF, SAY NOTHING!!!!..... B

Shibhan- GREAT voice. can sing anything I think. She is so quirky! but the song choice was AWFUL! Hubby thought she was wooden. The band was having way too much fun though. and I ask you... is she going to scream EVERY week? she lost some fans this week I think. Kara said something about that being a note? That wasn't a note! that was a scream! But she gave the audience some energy and I guess that is what the audience sitting there live misses as I sit on my comfy couch thousands of miles away watching it on a box. B

I usually FF through commercials but there were two that had us laughing soooooo hard. The Haynes sock commercial and the next one about tampons... I was rolling!

Rolling Stones week: I stand by the fact that all great musicians are ugly! LOL Not a RS fan here, I married a Beatles man..... but I do have some RS songs I like

Mike- like him a lot, like this arrangement and though great stage presence, his dancing was weird. A+

Didi- where is her accent? TN to LA only 4 years? she lost her accent. she is very cute, brooke white-ish... not a fan of the walking down the stairs. she was emotional and that made up for the slow tempo. I liked it. Last few bars on and off but pitchy. A

They brought on the good kids first to keep people tuned in.

Casey- kewl, glad he brought the guitar... love how he is bringing in the blues with a tad of country.. i LOVE that genre.... he is such a great guitarist, if he doesn't get a vocal contract, someone will grab him for lead guitar. A+++

Lacey- cute kid, kept arrangement true to her style. she was a bit goat like.... B

Andrew- his wife looks like Rami from season 7, the sound was off, his mike was louder than the bands mikes..... vocally I thought he was good, saw a new side of him and I did like it. Glad Ellen is the 'average' viewer b/c she saw what I did.... randy has a hard time b/c of his perfect pitch ears.... B

Katie- boring, she has a mature voice but she was pitchy and I am not a fan, there is an entire HS voting... and they must hear differently in person than I do from the TV.

Simon and his middle finger nose scratch I am convinced is a signal to his goons to have her go home this week. LOL C

Tim- 10 Kids? holy cow... don't like long nails on guys... ewwww... he is going to Jason Mraz everything? it was very interesting, I give him kudos for that, but he is boring... if he were my high school boy friend, I'd have a total crush if he were singing at a party, but not for a record deal. I agree, not wrong, but delivery was wrong. C

Siobhan- I totally would have picked this song for her! she is cute and is growing on me but she screamed that song at the end.. was shocked they liked it so much... thought her falsetto ending was better, and I will def remember this performance of all tonight.. B

Lee- like what he did with the song. Like him, but he needs to figure out and apply what Simon said, get some personality out, but he keeps that rock voice and things will be really good! A

Paige- looks like her mom. she is really pretty. ????honky tonk woman????? oh kay.... she loves her shorts doesn't she? don't like it.... she did a good job with it, but her lower register didn't get picked up on the mike..... forgettable.... and the song about drugs and sex..... zzzzzzzz

Aaron- awwww I am a HUGE fan of adoption!!!!! Go Aaron... sweety you won't be the next american Idol... but you are a cutie pie!!!! stop sitting stairs...... he came in too late.... great song choice though.... slow it down for the country voice.... best vocals I have heard from this kid so far....

Crystal: love her, she is softening a bit... they are making her look soft w/ makeup, etc... that is good, she is just so talented and natural on stage..... really want her to win and bring her style to the AI alumni....Wasn't blown away, but always consistent... A

Again, this season doesn't have me glued to the TV, so I just FF thru last night to see who the top 12 are. The new picture banner is above ( on the blog) and they are in order of how I would LIKE to see things go down. Not saying that is how but how I would want to see things progress.

Of course I was shocked last night that Lilly got booted (see below) and then again I wasn't, but very happy that Katelyn isn't in the top 12. Sorry, nothing against her personally, I mean, I don't even know the girl, but strictly from a musical / competition stance.

My predictions from this week:

Going home?........ Aaron and I honestly have no idea who the other might be.... Toddrick is the only other forced guess b/c he bombed the last few weeks and probably lost fans, so I doubt this one performance could make up for that.. but I really don't know.I would be shocked if Lee, Casey or Mike went home.

SHOULD go home: Katy and Paige
PROBABLY will go home: Paige and Lacey b/c Katy has her entire HS voting for her. Unless Katelyn irks people like the spasm house

Season 9: Top 8 Boys

Was gone last night, woke up early this morning to watch, in a hurry....

Simon is bored, you can see it... glad he is done b/c I am too.

Lee- really liked that song choice and what he did with it. He was a bit flat but he totally had more fun than I have ever seen him. As I was driving thru Mt. Prospect yesterday morning I totally thought of him. LOL

Alex- I was bored, he is still stiff and a bit robotic, like he was more focused on the technical ( guitar, notes, lyrics) than anything else. I keep wondering if that Rocker chic he was w/ in group night sits and makes fun of him......

Tim- sick of hearing this song, everyone has done it since Jason and since Jason's performance was one of my all time favorite AI moments, I wasn't a fan of this choice. I need to post one of my top 10 favorite AI moments.... I did feel he connected with it and was authentic, and he sounded okay.

Andrew- love what he does with the songs, maybe he could go into producing. I did like it a lot, the only version of this song I do like. Randy had a good point, 3 notes, kinda a Don Henley song. LOL I am always telling my hubby that Don sings three notes, all in the key of A. LOL

Casey- needs to either keep hair totally pulled back or totally down, the half and half isn't cool. I do love this song and I am a fan of his. I liked how he put a bit of his blues twist to it. But I did agree w/ Randy, it was a safe week for him.

Aaron- pitchy, but when on key was good. if you haven't seen the military version of this Lonestar song and you are patriotic, then trust me, you'll be moved by it. You Tube Lone Star, Already there, military tribute. .... anyway, his last few bars were the best, but his stage stance was driving me nuts. great song choice for him.

Toddrick- Freddie is a great choice for Toddrick's vocal range. I felt he was the most humble he has been and even though it started out as a song mimic, he changed it up in the middle and I think that was his best performance from him.

Mike- he looked great, not sure if I liked his book end high ranges but he sounded great. A lot like Rueben. DEF in the top 12, glad he did a slow song and FTR: Yes, Kara you have cried before, I just can't remember when, but you have cried before. last season.... can't remember, but then again, neither can she LOL..... I didn't get the vibe as much as those in the audience did but then again, I was in a hurry, I'll replay it later today

I have a very early appointment in the morning and have to leave around 6 a.m. so this is short and sweet, I ff most of it, esp some of the really off toned ones.

Katy- DO NOT DO PREVIOUS IDOLS SONGS, it's stupid! I hate when they do that. Doing another artists is different somehow. she was off, completely off key, I hated it- D

Shibohn- can't remember how to spell that... i thought it was an interesting choice. I liked it. she's got such a great voice. She is a female version of Chris Issac, a little too much in the nose and throat for me. But that was a great arrangement. I sooo did NOT agree with Simon. He wasn't NOT hearing her at all.... she didn't change it up? what??? A

Lacey- she's pulling a Brooke White, sitting on the edge like that for the whole song. she is comfy on stage, that is good. she was sooo much better this week. I liked it and agreed w/ simon though on this being a bit forgettable. A

Katelyn- I hate that keyboard there, my hubby asked if she was trying to be a Debbie Gibson. LMBO.... my household doesn't like her. Her being there, not really playing, limited her movement and did NOTHING to hep her. Vocally though, she is really good. but I just don't like her. ITA'd with Simon. B-

Didi- love that song choice, made it her own, needs to pick it up,it was a tad boring until the background singers added a bit to it. That seemed to add the punch I was looking for. A+

Paige- nasally, goatee, BORING and hated it! bye Paige C

Crystal- excellent choice, great energy, it was a great performance, crescendo exactly where it needed to, etc. Loved her guitar playing, love her authenticity. ITA'd with Kara about the kind of record she'd make. I'd buy it. I dont buy many but I would buy hers for sure. I would love to see the final two being Casey and Crystal, with Crystal winning. She would be the first winner w/ this kinda soulful bluegrass genre. A+++++

Crystal- I loved it! so much better than with two instruments. She's good and is starting to look a bit softer. I love the judges comments. A+++++++

Haeley- she is bugging me now... a bit goat voice like Carmen Rasmussen from season 2. She was off key and it bugs me how she enunciates her words. I loved Kara's feedback, it was very constructive and direct. D

Lacey- she is tons better from last week. Lots of personality and she had fun. But overall, it was mediocre. B

Katie- I usually don't care for the teens ( except I did like Jordon and David A) but vocally she's really good. ITA w/ Simon about not knowing what kinda of artists she's going to be. B

DiDi- Not sure I liked this.... What is it about this song choice3 and performance..... Judges help me!..... Okay, thanks Kara, she has such a unique voice and this was totally Karaoke tonight. C

VENT: people stop with the Booing Simon. It is really old. drive me nuts!!

Michelle- I love this song. that outfit though? even if Vera is in the audience... looks like she forgot to pull down her dress after the potty. I am glad she took a risk but I don't like it and thought it was boring. She ended off key. B+

I totally understand Randy and Kara being frustrated. As writers an producers, they and I could arrange some of these songs that would have POPPED out.

Lilly- she is so consistent with who she is and vocally is so unique and recognizable. I like her a ton! I wasn't bored and I loved it. I did agree with Simon. A++++++++

Deep Dark Secret: I do'nt have and won't get any but someday, maybe in my next life, if I did get a tat, I would so get one like Lilly but not that large, a small blue treble cleff on my ankle. shhhhh don't tell my kids, especially my hubby!

Katelyn- BORING! BUT, I will say, it is soooo tough to sing AND Play.. at least for me anyway, not that I am a great singer, but did like the softness of it. Curious what the judges will say. B+

Paige- I totally get her coloring book thing. I have a coloring book too. LOL! I know I usually hate it when they do a previous Idol song, but it has been a while, hasn't it? 7 years? So that doesn't bug me as much. I still get bugged if they do a Carrie song though, don't know why..... She kinda sounds like Kelly... but there is nothing that stands out for me about Ms. coloring Paige.... sorry.... do like her song choice as far as tempo, etc.. but that jump to that note was totally off key, really sharp! B

Mike- liked his song choice. good move, first night was fun, this week, showcase vocals, very smart. The song was a bit slow and I grew bored but he is polished. I agreed with Simon that it wasn't dated. A+

John- Cute as a little boy, he's boring, no stage presence, ugh... I agreed with Ellen. He was better and I thought the song showcased his voice more, but he is really forgettable. C

Casey- totally laughing not watching Idol before. Kinda like that about him. Very cool about no TV and extra cool that he fixed up that house. But this pre show "what's in the box" is going to cause quite the buzz, you think? So then his guitar playing is da BOMB! I live w/ guitar players and they are very impressed. My friend B said Casey is a clean Bucky, did I share that already? makes me laugh. I see he had fun, I can totally see him winning this thing if he keeps up his performances like this. I remember there was only one David Cook performance that I didn't care for, though now, on CD it's one of my favorites... so even DC had an off week. I did NOT agree with Simon or Kara and I think she did and said what she did to try and defuse the Cougar Crush A+++++++++++

Alex- my friend B commented that he has Carol Brady hair and I totally LMBO. I didn't care for it all that much but it wasn't bad. He has too much growing to do and there are more polished people that will overshadow him if he doesn't leap and bounds. B

Todrick- still think he is too cocky. my dd doesn't like him at all. He is creative, I'll give him that. I personally liked what he did with that Tina song and support that he picked a song that he couldn't be compared to. Very smart. He has a nice voice and it was better than last week and I think it will keep him in another week. I disagreed with the judges B

side note: totally wanna hang out with the band... love those guys... they amaze me

Jermaine- that 1Z cracked me UP! But the PeeWee hair didn't score any points. He needs to stop the "pft"ing into the mike. I do like his upper register but hated this performance and feel he is not unique. ITA it was very old fashioned. but LOL at Simon wanting to go to church with him. C

side note: deep dark secret: I am BORED! this year doesn't excite me and I am doing a LOT of FF

Lee- my friend made friends with a checker at a Target near me and that checker is Lee's Aunt. LOL... I LOVE this song. and when he started he sounded JUST like the guy from Hinder... There was / is something bugging me, I was hoping one of the judges would peg it and they didn't. I like his honesty and his authenticity A

Tim Urban- blew that out of the water didn't he? blew it up and it crashed and burned around him. Not liking him either... can understand at this point why the girls are stronger... no one has given me the YEAH baby shout out... bummer!

Mike Lynch- I like Mike! His one arm is the size of Ryan. LOL... He's gonna need to do something else as the weeks progress, but this will get him through tonight. He's likable and good. I love life house.... I was shocked by Simon's comment but I think he heard/saw something I might have missed ( along with the others) but he was really pitchy... take the advice and run with it Lee. Tyler Grady - song choice doesn't surprise me at all.... he's playing it smart... this is part of my 'thing' with first night on the stage.... pick a song that is going to be more catchy, up tempo, rockin' .... tall and lanky and a little awkward on stage b/c he's use to being behind a set of skins..... not sure what I think about it.... let it settle and see what the other kids do.... and btw, SIMON is cracking me up! he can't remember their names... he did this last night with the girls and it was getting embarrassing. Like Kara's comment about bringing something new to it instead of just redoing it. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a café.

I like you... but honey, if the tables were turned, and Simon had asked some girl to drop her buttons so he could see more cleavage, that would be a law suite, so why can she get away with this stupid Casey crush? I come on, throw the guy off on his first on stage song in front of us! I am really peeved right now.... Yes, he is cute, but you know what? he is talented and though the song was a bit boring, then he's sooooooo good!!!!!! He is really really good.... and I am ignoring Kara's advice..... COME ON! dont' turn this into this...... it's stupid and awkward.... please!!!! let's focus on the music? You know.... the reason is for a RECORDING contract, not a modeling contract.

Aaron Kelly- I am not hearing what the judges are. Still not sticking with me.... something weird is starting to happen as well, knowing kids like this could be my own... that is absurd LOL I am still 39

Season 9: Top 12 Gals perform- initial thoughts

It's 1:30 a.m. and now that I am awake, I thought I'd catch up my blog.... during the show last night I was busy giving birth to a kidney stone, so please excuse me......

Although, this might be my new MO, blog the next morning, w/o notes based on what is stuck in my head? interesting....

Paige Miles- forgettable, did well, will go through

Rodriquez, Ashley- beautiful, which might keep her in another week, but performance was very much less than. Simon plants his seeds with his comments I tell ya. There is a Simon congregation of followers that will vote based soley on what he says. So it will be interesting. Too hard to really predict b/c I don't know the fan base

K, now I can't remember the order but :

Katie Stephens- ITA w/ the judges, but she'll be safe b/c the child is in HS and HS kids have nothing better to do, esp when their school mate is on the show, than to spend 4 hours texting in votes.

Katelyn Epperly- just don't like her. She sounded great, but I can't put my finger on it.

Brown, Lacey - oops.... not so great either.

Scott, Lilly - LOVE this girl!

Delamore, Michelle - loved her voice, held her own, but agreed with judges, mix it up, she can own it, would be probably my most favorite "diva" in Idol ever, but she has to be unique too.

Shioban Magnus- she's quirky, I'll give her that one. But she's just so forgettable too, afraid she might be gone soon but not this week b/c of her song in Hollywood week, just that power vocal they keep showing.

Wheeler, Janelle - HATED her song choice... you really have to know what you are doing to pull off my favorite female artists of all time and she crashed and burned :( that Kara song in Hollywood week they keep showing will keep her in for now.

Benami, DiDi - man, was hoping for more, she didn't stand out but she didn't stand out either good or bad, so that will buy her another week.

Vaughn, Haley - K, I am totally with Kathy ( a commenter) about her screetchy and I am sooo glad that Randy pointed that out. As much as I thought she'd be in a sure fit, tonight proved different.

Bowersox, Crystal- again, LOVE Her! someone did lighten her teeth a bit, she's raw and one of my favorites over all, just want her to keep consistent and strong. I liked the song and did not agree with Simon, but then again, he has his eye on the prized ones, and gives them nothing but a hard time, remember David Cook year? He seemed to hate David... oh well....

speaking of David and Carrie and Kelly, is there any way to look up and find video of Hollywood group week/day for those three? I can't remember group day and was laying in bed trying to figure that out.

So right now, I am thinking that who should go home this week are Ashley and Lacey, based on performance and vocals. Can't peg who might because still feeling for a fan base, but I wouldn't miss Katelyn Epperly. So initial gut? ........ Ashley b/c she didn't pull it off and Katelyn b/c I am just not buying it, something about her bothers me.....

Guys tonight, i'll post predictions before and results show. After results show I will just fade out the pix of those who went home.

Season 9: Top 24- my thoughts

My thoughts follow; based on what they (AI) have feed us. My opinions are just gut right now and I'll have to see what happens after I see everyone sing next week. There are always those few they don't show much of, so I haven't seen their stage presence, their vocals, etc..... but for now:

FIRST, let me say thank you personally to the judges for not putting that one guy through, he annoyed the crap out of me. The guy who was "made as hell" and lady gaga song tiger? augh.... So thank you very much Judges!

DiDi- love this girl, have from city auditions. Hope to see her in the top 12 for sure, can see her in the top 5

Mike- love this guy!!! he's cute and personable, has a great voice. Think people will like him a lot. Not sure he'll go further than the top 6 or so though just b/c the other talent in the room. This is a great year!

Crystal- I really love that she wants raw music back. I love that about her. I do love her voice and her style but I worry that "America" won't be as attached to her b/c she comes across really rough, even if she's showing her baby's pix around. Not sure she'll resonate with the voting public.Want her into the top 12, but she might be an Amanda Overmyer.

Toddrick- Hollywood week showed some of his feisty side but it came off to me as a jerk. So I think he thinks he's better than what he really is. I give him credit though for that city audition song, that was cute. I can see him in the top 12 but not sure he'll last long if he does go through.

Lacey- need to see her more. she's cute though

Lee- not sure, don't care for what I've seen of him yet, but we'll see

Michelle- have liked her from city auditions, she is beautiful. But I haven't heard her sing after the city....

Tim- he'll be pegged right now as the teen heart throb. I need to hear him more. I see him going through to the top 12 but it will be teeny bop votes to get him there... unless he impresses me on stage next week.

Katelyn- another total cutie, but not sure, need to hear/see her next week.

Casey- love this guy..... B you are right, he needs to relax a little on stage, but I want to hope that that is his "strategy"... I can't wait for him to blow the waters out! I hope and would LOVE to see him not only in the top 12 but the top 5

Shioban- love her name... from what I have seen, she's good but I need to see more

John- who? LOL..... let's see what happens next week.

Jermaine- like what some of I've heard but he's might prove to be a little dramatic....

Katie-she's cute... but young... will have to impress me next week

Tyler- what worries me is that he's not as 'handsome' as a few of the other guys, and if he feels connected to Classic 60/70 rock, then he might not reach enough of a fan base with the younger crowd. I would hope he shocks everyone next week.

Haley- I can't wait to see how she does. She intrigues me a lot. Anxious to see if she can stay consistent on stage.

Alex- see my notes for Aaron

Janelle- I like what I have seen of her, but she is forgettable. If she doesn't stay totally strong next week, she could be one of the first to go.

Aaron- I think they get to a point ( the judges) where they know who will do well, who will make them the most money and I think this top 24 thing really does come down to a few of these kids being tossed in to assure the success of their favorites.

Season 9: Hollywood Week (my part II)

As of this morning, we haven't heard anything about my nephew, they live out west, so things must have been looking better. He has type I diabetes and has been incredibly healthy, but has had some surgeries lately and I guess things have been off.

Anyway...... back to last night.

The two people that they showed that went thru round 1 that we didn't see their city auditions were:

Mark Labriola- 28-CO- Cheese boy has a really good voice, I liked it. Stands out a little bit more for me.

Kimberly Kerbow-24-CA- she was just okay

Danelle Hayes- Little too forced rock, which you usually get when they are doing cover bands, I do want to see more, she has a voice behind the 'rock' yelling.

Simon was very funny, in a very good mood last night.

Casey James-27-TX- good voice, he's unique, I do agree with Simon about it being the wrong song. I won't comment on the sexist behavior by Kara, but it really ticked me off

Tori Kelly-16-CA- She looks much older than 16, love those pictures from her little friend. Vocally? okay.

Kara please stop with the "I REALLY like you (bob, mandy, etc).... augh

Austin Paul- just have to say that I am glad he didn't make it through, he was grating on my nerves before he even went into the audition room

Nicci Nix- 22- Italy?- vocally she is decent. She already has a cool stage name, so let's see where this goes. Her speaking voice might drive the judges nuts, but we'll see

okay, now for news on Bikini boy- The radio station that I did commentary for in season 7 talked to him this morning, I'll have to see if there was a podcast I can direct you too. The guy is /a was a radio personality and did it as a stunt for his show. He sat there all day in that bikini, he said he was shocked that he actually got through to the judges at all b/c he was just hoping for some pix and exposure while mingling with the contestants. He was pretty funny though. His radio voice is cool.

Season 9: L.A. Auditions

Was sick last night..... all of the kids they showed last night are from California

Jim Ranger- 27- I think Hollywood will be fairly easy for him b/c he writes. I did like his song. Vocally, he's not bad, not bad at all. I could stand to hear him sing the next few weeks.

Mary Powers-28- wow! those eyes are beautiful.! She can arrange songs and she pulled off Pat Benatar, she's got vocals, kinda unique ( sorry Simon, I think this is how she really is, did you see her hubby/BF? he was dressed the same, she goth/rock, leave her alone) I am glad her daughter got to meet Simon. Very sweet.

AJ Mendoza- okay this kid didn't go through, but I had to comment on the Adam Lambert wanna be. He really did have a good voice when he wasn't over the top. I rewound a few times just to hear him sing and not watch him and he has a lot of potential. Hopefully he'll take that and let it fuel his fire b/c he was real and not a joke. I just wanted to document that I could see him come back next year and audition.

another side note: the crying episodes? This is the problem today, these kids don't want to work for something, they want to stand in line, play on their cell phones, walk in, sing a diddy, get a ticket, go to Hollywood, not work, just have money and be famous. I am sorry some of those kids took it so harsh, but come on!

Randy was on Letterman last week and said that he thought this was a girl's year... so we shall see. I never know anything until the Top 24 are announced.

Andrew Garcia-23- I LOVE HIM! love his tone, he stands out for me, but didn't give me chills, I haven't had the chill factor yet, but that doesn't mean a whole lot, David cook didn't give me chills ( though daughtry did) at his city audition, but as soon as he hit HW and sang that bryan adams song, I was hooked! Same for Bo Bice...

Tasha Layton-26- I love her. She is confident, fun and I agree with Simon, I can see a lot of people liking her b/c she is so likable.

Chris Golightly- 25- There is something about him too. I really hate that I am thinking of am saying something to my family and then get interrupted with the judges saying the same thing, makes me sound like a puppet... but there is something about him. It's not just his story, but I had just said the same thing as Kara ( whom I still LOVE btw) that he has some life experience that gives him connection to music in a way that makes him different, stand out. I get that. Music has saved my life many times... I can see him in the top12 and I hope he gets there. he does need to drop the hands thing when he goes up on those high notes and he does NOT need to play up his foster care story. No sympathy votes. He had a very soft but grainy tone to his voice and I liked it a lot.

I did not agree with Simon or Katy on this, but I probably don't agree with Katy on anything b/c I can't stand her( I know, I don't even know her, blah blah0 BUT I have seen the work she puts out and I don't like it, don't like her attitude, her brassiness, she has some issues she needs to work on b/c she is abeautiful girl.

ITA with Randy and Kara though b/c they are producers, writers, they see things in an artist that Simon doesn't and Simon didn't see $$$ so he wasn't as taken with Chris as the other two.

Tonight: DALLAS with Jo Jonas, so guess who will be watching tonight for sure! my daughter LOL

Family First! that was last night for me. I did watch and take notes but didn't get a chance to blog. Same thing tonight... I am needed at my son's Scouts group, so tonight's show will be blogged in the morning.

I do love Chicago. Been here 3.5 years and I love it! If you ever visit here, you have to take that boat tour they showed. It is an architectural tour and it is really fun. I have a girl crush on Shania.. always have. She is the one who got me tuned into country. I am not a die hard country fan but I do enjoy a few bands/artist from that genre. So, here we go:

We start in: Boston, 9000 in the crowd and we are graced with POSH, she's too skinny and looks like Kara's evil twin.... or twin.

Simon is done and guess what? so am I... after this year. I wish I was blogging back in season 1, cuz I started too late and now the world won't ever know how good I am at this AI stuff. But anyway.... scary game ( this first girl)

I am sick of them making fun of people... and b/c I am watching with my kids, then I will probably FF through most of this crap..... okay, venting is done.... only commenting on the good ones....

I hate when they say what I just typed ( jim morrison reference) I promise I said that before they did. they'll pull an elliot yamin but fix his teeth before Hollywood or before the final 24, if that he goes that far.

Boston has been good. Forgot about the music schools. So this group is bringing in not just decent voices, but kids with musical training, ,degrees and experience. this might get me excited....

Mike David-18- MA- he's cute, nice eyes, great voice. I like him too. Randy must be hungry... simon is rude right then, but what-ev He reminds me a ton of my little (big) brother.

Katie Stevens, 16- CT- very mature voice for 16, wow... she has potential for sure. she might not hang on in Hollywood, but she does have a good voice

Joshua Blaylock, 28-NY- cross eyed and doesn't look 28, little off-

Justin Williams-27- UT-great eyes, see him in the country genre, got the look and I peg him as being Mormon, then he pops up as being from UTah, what took him out to Boston from there to audition is interesting. He is a great voice. hope he goes through Hollywood

Bosa Mjora, 22- OH- wow, great voice. nice control and smooth

Leah Laurenti- 22-NY- nice, strong voice. but not common, has her own sound. I'd recognize her songs. I think she picked a good audition song b/c it showcased her range and control.

and then they leave us hanging with those they let through w/o us hearing them sing.

K, going to bed, actually, going off to say a prayer for my nephew... just got a call that he is not able to be woken from his diabetic coma... if you are the praying type, please say one tonight for Mitch F. thanks guys. hard to get into AI when real life problems take precedence.

I'm done with the show. 10 seasons should cap this show off really nice. So two more years and then let's lay a thing to rest before it starts to die on its own and then they really have to go to great lengths to keep an audience, like heaven forbid, have try outs for regular people to be judges....

Bar-ba-sol" was the third official single released as a double A-side single with "Come Back to Me"."Bar-ba-sol" was written by Danny Grady of Injected and Dan Dixon (of Dropsonic) sometime around 2005 for Injected's "The Truth About You" album.

Unfortunately the album never got released.fortunate enough to add own touch to the song for his 2008 self-titled album. The revamped "Bar-ba-sol" was produced by Level 7 V.P. and Grammy Award winning producer Rob Cavallo.

The song is about recovering the morning after a night of partying too hard, with lyrics speaking about "missing keys," "bloody noses" and being in a 'fuge'.

I am really eager to get this show under way with just the three again, but minus Paula. That made me excited to watch season 9. I wasn't sure I wanted to keep up with this show but now I just might! Okay, I will!!!

I also got the new Brooke White album and have to say that as much as I like her, I really do like her first pre-Idol album more than this one. I need to listen to it a few more times to decide for sure, but the first run through is just okay. Kinda disappointed.

but I just wanted to post about Daughtry's new album. I honestly love EVERY SINGLE SONG on this album.

Its great to get a new album and just like each song. Very cool!
